Sleep is a top priority for Dakota Johnson. She loves her beauty sleep and aims for at least 10 hours each night.
She doesn’t have a set wake-up time. In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, she shared, “It depends on what’s happening in my life. If I’m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can.”
She’s not functional without a good night’s rest. “I can easily go 14 hours,” she said, referring to her impressive snoozing abilities.
Bathtime is also a part of her self-care routine. Johnson shared that she would get in a bathtub at any time of the day, depending on her mental health status. “I find water really grounding,” she added.
The “50 Shades of Grey” alum also practices meditation twice a day. She finds it helpful for her anxiety. “I do transcendental meditation,” she explained. “I’ve been really into breathwork recently and that’s been helping me a lot with anxiety.”
She also takes care of her physical health. Johnson ensures to work out five days a week. “I do a lot of hot yoga and Pilates and body weight training,” she said.
When it comes to her diet, she’s not really a breakfast person. But she loves her coffee. “I have coffee as quickly as I can,” she said. “I love an oat milk flat white.”
Holidays with her family are pretty stress-free. “My family doesn’t really have holiday traditions. We’re kind of free-flowing in that department. We’re all very good at not applying stress to each other to show up or behave in a certain way, which I think is really nice,” she said.
She’s been in a relationship with Chris Martin since 2017. The Coldplay frontman, 46, was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow from 2003 to 2016. The exes amicably co-parent their two kids, and Johnson has hung out with the former couple’s children on several occasions.
“We’re actually very good friends,” the Goop founder, 51, shared during an Instagram Q&A in October. She added that she loves Johnson “so much.” “She’s an adorable, wonderful person,” the “Glee” alum added. Paltrow married Brad Falchuk in 2018 after dating for four years and is a stepmom to his two kids from his marriage to first wife Suzanne Bukinik.
